Alexandra Wilson is barrister, author and campaigner. She first came into the public eye when she was mistaken for a defendant three times on the same day in court and has made it her mission to challenge discrimination in the legal profession. Alexandra has been interviewed on BBC News, ITV news, Good Morning Britain and Women's Hour, and has also been profiled in The New York Times and the Independent.
In 2020 Alexandra released her widely praised debut book “In Black and White: A Young Barrister’s Story of Race and Class in a Broken Justice System”. Her second book, The Witness, was released in the summer of 2024.
After studying Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Oxford, Alexandra studied for a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and her Master of Laws at BPP University in London. She was subsequently awarded the first Queen’s scholarship by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, given to students showing exceptional promise in a career at the Bar. In 2023, she graduated from Columbia University with High Honours in a Master of Law.
