Jonelle Awomoyi

Jonelle is a social media presenter and journalist for BBC News. With a speciality in internet trends, Jonelle has worked to expand the BBC’s reach across their social platforms including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Her BBC Sounds podcast, Reliable Sauce with Kirsty and Jonelle, explores the week's biggest stories, especially those that matter to younger audiences.

She has spoken at events in the Houses of Parliament, Microsoft HQ, St James’ Palace and the United Nations HQ in New York whilst helping raise an astonishing £107,000 in one night for youth services across the UK.

In 2020 Jonelle was recognized for her contribution to her community during the pandemic with a mural in London and was nominated for the Woman of the Year Award 2021.
