Mishal Husain is one of Britain’s most respected news broadcasters, as one of the long-standing hosts of Radio 4’s Today programme. Before joining Today in 2013, she anchored BBC News programmes including News at Six and News at Ten, which she still presents on a regular basis.
Mishal joined the BBC as a producer building her career at BBC World News where she presented her own programme Impact With Mishal Husain. She has presented major events on location, such as a live report from Pakistan after the death of Osama bin Laden. She also spent time as a news anchor for both BBC World and BBC America.
Mishal has been named by the Sunday Times as one of the 500 most influential people in Britain. She won Broadcaster of the Year at London Press Club Awards, Presenter of the Year at Women in Film and TV Awards and was named one of the Financial Times’ Women of the Year.
